Our Care Pathway

When your loved one is in our care, you can be involved  as much or as little, as you decide, in caring for them.

We have a beautiful, warm resting place until the day of the funeral and you are welcome to visit as often as you wish by prior appointment. You will experience a calm and peaceful setting with everything that you need to hand. We will be there for you as you need us.

The fundamental role of a Funeral Director, above all else, is the safe care of the person who has died. We take our role very seriously and, without any doubt, consider our mortuary care services to be the best there is. Our commitment and dedication in this area of our service, means that you can be assured that your loved one will be cared for in the best possible way, by a caring and extensively experienced member of our family.

Our Care Pathway,  based on a 'Model of Care' developed & used by the late Lesley Wade (RGN, PG Dip) for best Nursing Practice, is used here in her memory. This model ensures that you know who will be caring for your loved one and what you can expect from us.

In line with this 'Model of Care' ,Our care pathway involves holistic personal and individualised care for your loved one and you will be asked if you would like to bring your choice of his or her own clothes, make-up, perfume and any other personal effects. Preserving Dignity and Offering Respect is of course, paramount.

Fragrant oils can be used for bathing and massaging the skin and you will be invited to care for your loved one if you wish to do so, although we do understand that this can be a very daunting and upsetting task for some people and therefore we will carry out their care on your behalf if you prefer. Embalming is not routinely carried out.

You may be surprised to learn that many funeral businesses do not have suitable facilities for mortuary care. Some do not have a Mortuary at all. We are so confident in our commitment to your loved one that you can inspect our facility by just giving us a call.
